How to put the root user as administrator on VMware ESXi 5.0?

I have aDellserver with VMwareESXi5.0.0 installedand myroot user isallowedto read-only.

How do I giveadministrator permission for the root user?

I canlog into the serverthrough theVMwarevSphere Clientwith myroot userand password, but i can notaccessssh withputtyor Winscpwith the sameusername and password, givingaccess deniedmsgand through the console(shell) givesmsglogin or password incorrect.
