Hi all,
I'm new here and sorry for my bad english.
I've got a VMware vSphere Esxi 5.5 Environment with 3 Hostserver connected in a cluster. The Vcenter Server is located as a VM on one of the hosts.
Now I got the order from my boss to install the newest patch from VMware asap. I have to say, that I'm only support VMware since a couple of weeks..
The environment was never updated before. The installed release was from 2013-09-22 (Build 1331820). I've downloaded the newest patch (Build 4345813) and installes it via ssh shell. After rebooting all hosts, they were not reacheable from VCenter Server anymore.
I can connect directly to the hostserver and can see, that the server is up and running and has also the new patch properly installed. I also cann start all VMs on the hosts.
But they don't see each other anymore. I got the following message:
Cannot contact the specified host. The host may not be available on the network, a network configuration problem may exist, or the management service on this host is not responding
I have no idea what to do. Did I made something wrong during the update? Is there a chance to fix it? I already reboot the hosts again and checked the lockdown.
Thanks,
Justen
