Good Morning Tech World!
So I'm the new guy from the block and I have a few questions and concerns that maybe someone out there has already addressed.
1 - In a perfect VDI environment should we be saving user profiles using persona management to the same storage where the virtual machines resides? ( I heard about UEM but we are not there yet )
2 - Do you run the user profiles on the same DiskPool or Volumes ? Or create a new DiskPool or Volume isolated for their profiles
In our current environment we have a two NetApps a FAS2240 for our Server Farm and user profiles, for the View Environment we have a E-Series all SDD just for the vm's. Our current environment of 300 users with a mix of persistent and non-persistent (linked clones)
Our E-Series has a full capacity over 30TB's a total of 36 SSD Disk's and we are only using about 8TB's. We currently have One Disk_Pool and multiple Volumes for the view environment, 12 Disk's have not been assigned yet.
I hope this all makes sense and any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
Gus.
