Intel NVM-Express VMD controller does not support passthrough?

I have a Supermicro server, ESXi 6.7, 2 x Intel DC P4510 SSDs. I enabled Intel VMD support in the BIOS. I boot in UEFI.

ESXi 6.7 can see both the Intel NVM-Express VMD controller and the 2 attached SSDs.

Now, I would like to send this VMD controller in passthrough to a virtual machine, but the web UI says "Passthrough" is "Not capable".

Is there any way to send the VMD controller in passthrough? If not, does anyone know if this feature is coming to ESXi?
